Denise Chyette, DPT operates Chyette Sports Therapy, within Mind Body Manhattan. With Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Pilates, and Fitness Training all under one roof, you can blend a variety of techniques into your treatment plan for a customized approach to match your body and your goals. Denise specializes in analyzing biomechanics and movement patterns to determine the source of your injury or condition in order to customize treatment and prevent future occurrence.
Denise has over 15 years of experience in physical therapy and fitness. As a former competitive figure skater, her numerous injuries gave her a first-hand look at the importance of physical therapy and conditioning. She transformed her personal experience to help skaters and other individuals stay healthy and active. Denise earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology / Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a Certified Perinatal Fitness Instructor.
Denise is passionate about leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She believes that becoming healthy from within allows us to achieve fulfillment in ourselves, and provides us with the ability to reach out on a grander scale and give back to others in need. In 2009, she founded Elusive Arts & Entertainment, a nonprofit organization to promote art and film in her community and disadvantaged areas. Through her program, Physical Therapy for a Cause, Denise donates a percentage of her profits to Elusive Arts & Entertainment. Clients who come in for physical therapy not only physically recover, but are able to inspire creative minds in less fortunate communities. Denise is also highly involved in her community as a board member of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals group. She was recently recognized as a “Valued Business Partner” for the City of Manhattan Beach.
